“St.Nedjelja” Church is first mentioned in historical archives in 1634. This picturesque church is believed to have been dedicated to St. Nedjelja, a saint who was worshipped in many parts of Boka Bay. Its original construction can be brought into the connection with the Venetian conquest of the Kumbor fortress Vrbanj in 1580 to which the people of Perast made a significant contribution. Original church was extended west around 1704, and on that occasion its interior was painted by the most famous Baroque painter from this area Tripo Kokolja. The belongs to the Dioecesis Catharensis of Kotor.
