•Filming and photography requests can be accommodated all year round for Portonovi Resort. However, during busy periods, requests will be judged on how they will affect the operation of the Resort.
•While we will endeavor to accommodate as many requests as possible, approval of on-board filming is subject to the Resort’s Health & Safety procedures along with compliance with our Brand Standards.
•On-board filming is subject to a pre-site visit with a member of the Press Office, completion of our Health & Safety forms and submission of statements requested by our Operational Teams depending on the planned filming.
General Notes
•Our first priority is the experience of our guests, so we have a strict policy against the use of any of our facilities for unauthorized professional or commercial photography or videography (including pre-nuptial shoots – unless it’s part of a wedding package with us, engagement shoots, advertising shoots, model/fashion shoots/filming, etc.).
•Guests may shoot non-commercial photography or video for their personal use (with no professional equipment, lighting, etc.) in their room or on the property but are obliged to respect the privacy and well-being of other guests in the area.
•Professional photography/videography will only be allowed if Marketing Department has given their permission before the shoot. All photography/videography requests will be reviewed and approved based on occupancy, availability, and content.

Do I need a permit to film (both video and still photography)?
Low-impact filming activities will not require a special use permit, but non-low-impact filming activities may require a permit to address their potential impacts on resort resources and visitor activities.
Low-Impact Filming (both video and still photography)
“Low-impact filming’ is defined as outdoor filming activities in areas open to the public, except areas marked differently, involving five people or less, and equipment that will be carried at all times, except for small tripods used to hold cameras. Those participating in low-impact filming activities do not need a permit and are not required to contact the Resort in advance. If low-impact filmers have questions about areas where they want to film, they should contact Portonovi Marketing Team directly. Videographers, filmers, producers, directors, news, and other staff associated with filming are reminded that rules and regulations that apply to all Portonovi visitors, including Portonovi hours and closed areas, still apply to filming activities even if a permit is not required. Check with the Portonovi Marketing and Security Team for more information on closures, sensitive resources, and other safety tips.
Non-Low-Impact Filming (both video and still photography)
Filming activities that do not meet the description of low-impact filming require at least twelve days advance notice to Portonovi by contacting Portonovi Marketing Team directly in writing. Portonovi Marketing Director will determine whether the filming activities will require a special use permit for filming.
Filmers and/or photographers require a permit when:
•the activity takes place at location(s) where or when members of the public are generally not allowed; or
•the activity uses model(s), sets(s), or prop(s) that are not a part of the location's natural or cultural resources or administrative facilities; or
•The resort would incur additional administrative costs to monitor the activity.
Based on the information provided, a permit may be required to:
•maintain public health and safety;
•protect environmental or scenic values;
• protect natural or cultural resources;
•allow for equitable allocation or use of facilities; or
•avoid conflict among visitor use activities.
