The VII Portonovi Regatta “Boka Islands” Returns to Boka Bay This June

Portonovi Marina will once again become the meeting point of the regional sailing community this June with the return of the VII Portonovi Regatta “Boka Islands”, a three-day event that combines sport, tradition and the unique spirit of life by the sea.

Taking place from 5 to 7 June, the regatta will gather sailing enthusiasts, professional crews and lovers of the Adriatic lifestyle for another edition of one of the most anticipated nautical events in Boka Bay.

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Montenegro’s coastline, participants will sail through the waters of Boka Bay, navigating a route that passes some of the region’s most iconic landmarks, including Our Lady of the Rocks and St. George Island. Alongside the competitive aspect of the regatta, the event celebrates camaraderie, maritime heritage and the shared passion for sailing.

The program begins on Friday evening with a welcome gathering for participants and guests on the Yacht Club Terrace at Portonovi Marina, accompanied by drinks and a live saxophone performance by Nikola Ralevic.

The racing program continues on Saturday and Sunday, beginning with the traditional Marina wake-up performance by the local brass orchestra, followed by skipper meetings and race starts.

In true Portonovi style, the regatta will also feature a curated social program designed to bring together participants and visitors in a relaxed waterfront atmosphere. Saturday evening is reserved for wine night at Vista Square, featuring wine tastings, refreshments and a live performance by Senkina Djeca Band.

The regatta will conclude on Sunday evening with the official awards ceremony and dinner at Malo Ribarsko Selo restaurant, where winning crews will be announced and celebrated in an atmosphere of music, dinner and seaside festivities, accompanied by DJ Funk You.

Now in its seventh edition, the Portonovi Regatta “Boka Islands” continues to strengthen Portonovi Marina’s position as an important destination on the Adriatic nautical map, while promoting sailing culture, maritime traditions and the beauty of Boka Bay.
