Two Concerts in Portonovi on Friday as an Introduction to New Year Celebrations

Festive Market in Portonovi was officially opened last weekend, and the most exciting is yet to come. Michael Jackson Tribute, whose performance was planned for the market opening, was postponed due to the singer’s illness, and it will take place this Friday, December 29, starting at 6 PM. Afterward, Mostar Sevdah Reunion will perform at 8 PM. 

Lenny Jay, the singer of the Michael Jackson Tribute Band, who has traveled the world imitating the king of pop since 2009, will come to Portonovi on Friday. He attracted fans' and producers' attention in his native Brazil, not because of his physical similarity but because of his voice, which is, as they say, difficult to differentiate from Michael Jackson's. That gave him opportunities to perform not only in his native Brazil but also across Europe and North and South America.

In addition to the market, beautiful decorations, and everyday concerts, Sparkling Season in Portonovi brings magical light installments adorning the night skies and buildings in Marina Square. According to the Director of Marketing and Communications at Portonovi, Adrijana Husić, after a very successful festive season last year, this year they prepared numerous innovations to bring back all guests who visited the resort last year and also to attract new ones. 

“The first impressions after turning on more than 20,000 lights on the New Year tree in Marina Square and the previous weekend with two concerts and light performance, are more than positive. Through 16 days, 16 different concerts, and numerous other activities, along with the light performance every night, we offer plenty of reasons for people from Montenegro, the region, and a wider audience to join and welcome 2024 with us. We have more guests than last year, both in resort’s accommodation units and One&Only Portonovi, and homeowners who will spend holidays with us – which is a confirmation that Portonovi is recognized as one of the most interesting addresses for life and stay,” she said. 

Some of the caterers that visitors remember from previous festive markets will present their products again – Auntie’s House (Tetkina kućica), Koffein, La Petite Maison (Maison du Monde), One&Only Portonovi, Boka Chefs, Santa Clause Station (Idea), and there are also those presenting themselves at this market for the first time – Square Sweets, Square Pub, and Gastro Pub 3.
