Portonovi Marina - The Best International Marina in 2024

Portonovi Marina of the prestigious Portonovi Resort won the award for the Best International Marina of 2024 from The Yacht Harbor Association (TYHA). This award is given to marinas that meet the highest professional, operational, and environmental standards in terms of infrastructure and the services they provide to clients.

TYHA was established to develop the marina industry, especially supporting members of the British Navy and international members, offering expert advice and assistance in finding quality marinas while helping marinas improve their services and operations to the highest standards.

Marinas were awarded in eight categories last week in Southampton, and Portonovi Marina won first place in the category of the Best International Marina. D-Marin in Didim and Dubai Harbor were second and third.

"This award is a recognition for marinas with exceptional quality of service, top facilities, and services, which are also dedicated to environmental sustainability. This is another confirmation of the excellence we constantly strive for as a team and additional motivation to continue," said the Manager of Portonovi Marina, Novica Radojičić.

He pointed out that they are very proud of this award and that it is the product of many years of work started by the previous Director of Portonovi Marina, Nikola Banović. “After second place last year, we continued with the same commitment, and that continuous effort has now paid off, especially bearing in mind that this year, the berthing capacities in the marina were full, and the interest has been huge throughout the year.”

As he added, "The Yacht Harbor Association's award was not only a great opportunity to present the premium offer and services of Portonovi Marina, but it is also very significant for positioning Montenegro as the main nautical center of the region."

Portonovi Marina has 238 berths for yachts and superyachts up to 120 meters and is the venue for regional and international regattas. In 2022, it received "5 Gold Anchor" accreditation, which ranks it among the best marinas in the world.

Some of the most prestigious yachts in the world can often be seen in Portonovi Marina, among which were Olivia O, an 88-meter superyacht, superyacht PI with a glass-bottom pool, and the famous yacht Kalizma, known as a symbol of the love between Richard Barton and Elizabeth Taylor.
