Mimoza Scholarships: Supporting the Next Generation of Herceg Novi’s Cultural Life

Herceg Novi is a town where art belongs: in its galleries, on its stages, in the pages of books and in the lives of the people who shape it. For that story to continue, young people who choose to pursue the arts and humanities need opportunities to develop their talents.

The Mimoza scholarship program offers that support through three scholarships of €3,000 each for the 2026/2027 academic year. Funding has been donated by Azmont Investments, the developer of Portonovi, through a partnership with the Office of the President of Montenegro and the Municipality of Herceg Novi.

For us, this is an opportunity to support young people’s education and the contribution they can make to the cultural and social life of our local community.

Who can apply?

The call is open to Montenegrin citizens residing in Herceg Novi who are enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or master’s program in the arts and humanities, either in Montenegro or abroad, subject to the additional eligibility requirements outlined in the official call.

Each scholarship is paid in ten monthly instalments of €300, with no repayment obligation.

How to apply?

Applicants must submit a completed application form, documentation confirming citizenship, residence, student status and academic achievement, and a motivation letter. The letter should describe their interests and ambitions, together with a practical idea for applying their knowledge to the cultural, educational or social life of Herceg Novi and Montenegro.

Applications can be emailed to kabinet@predsjednik.me, submitted in person to the registry of the Office of the President of Montenegro or sent by post, following the instructions in the official call.

Applications are open until October 19, 2026.
