Increasing Interest in the Following Season

An exclusive interview featuring Adrijana Husić, Director of Marketing and Communications.

Herceg Novi, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Portonovi Spring Saga, starting on Friday, is a symbolical opening of the summer season, and there is a significant increase in interest, especially with guests from Western Europe, it was said from the resort.

The Director of Marketing and Communications of the resort, Adrijana Husić, says that numerous activities, concerts, events, and kids’ activities will be held from April 28 to May 7. "It is an invitation for everyone to join us so that we use hopefully nice  weather and open the new summer season," said Husić for the Mina-business Agency.

She said that the Spring Market starts on April 28. It will be similar to the Festive Market, which was very popular during the New Year festive season. There will be different concerts and activities. All details and activities can be found on the website portonovi.com. “Regional star Jelena Rozga’s concert is the main event this season. There will be other concerts, an old car tour, and special games for kids that will be organized to encourage the youngest to be active and practice healthy lifestyles,” said Husić.

She spoke about the preparation for the summer season and said that since 2020, we have had a challenging period in front of us. “It seems that this year will be similar to that both on the micro and macro plan. However, the increasing interest is encouraging, especially when it comes to the people from Western Europe, for Portonovi, One&Only Hotel, and entire Montenegro,” said Husić. She also said that it is necessary to invest further in infrastructure and flights to bring more tourists and visitors to Montenegro this year. “As a resort, we are responsible for organizing as many activities as we can, in addition to renal residential services we provide,” said Husić.

The summer calendar, as she said, will soon be published, and there will be a couple of concerts this year that will be interesting for the local audience as well as foreign guests. “We can already make announcements for two great symphonic tribute concerts of Abba, Queen, and Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra that are already attracting the attention of a large number of people,” added Husić.

She also said that in addition to residences and apartments for sale in that rental pool, there is also a marina which is fuller by the day, which is also very significant. “Marina is not only filled by Portonovi guests but also by those who come to Montenegro to spend a few days. In addition to the marina, there is also the first One&Only hotel in Europe, and it had excellent results during the winter period,” said Husić. Thanks to the hotel and activities that came through One&Only, as she said, there is an increasing number of tourists, for example, from Great Britain.

When asked about expectations for the following season based on booking, Husić said there is a notable trend that people book at the last minute. So, reservations come closer to the date of stay. However, there are still those who come after extensive planning and booking in advance. "From last year, we can see a great interest in booking Portonovi accommodation units for longer periods, even up to a year. Those are some indications that we are on the right track regarding activities we organize, services we provide, and expanding capacities, both in terms of rental and offer we have,” estimated Husić.

She mentioned that Portonovi, in addition to the marina, hotel, and accommodation, offers a large number of services and hospitality activities all year round – for guests and people from Montenegro. “This year, we will have a few new restaurant and fashion store openings, introducing brands that were not available in Montenegro,” concluded Husić.
