Humanitarian Waterbike Challenge Held at Portonovi

The Aquaride Humanitarian Waterbike Challenge 2026 was held in the waters off Portonovi, bringing participants together to raise funds for the Mladost Children’s Home in Bijela.

The event was organized by the Parliament of Montenegro, the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Ministry of Tourism and Aquaride Budva, with support from Portonovi and One&Only Portonovi. Held during European Mobility Week, it also marked 35 years since Montenegro’s declaration as an ecological state, highlighting healthy lifestyles, solidarity and care for the environment.

The program featured two waterbike races: a one-kilometre recreational race and a five-kilometre competitive race along the Portonovi – Zelenika/Opačica – Portonovi route. The event showed how sport on the water can bring the community together in support of a meaningful local cause.

Portonovi was pleased to support an initiative celebrating the local community and sport with the charity goal.
