First Festive Weekend in Portonovi Millions of Online Views and a Couple of Thousand Visitors
Portonovi Festive Market and extraordinary decorations delighted visitors already during the first week of the holiday magic in the village, which once again brought the spirit of the world’s metropolises to Montenegro this year. In addition to the biggest and most elegant New Year tree that adorns Portonovi Marina Square, visitors' special attention was attracted by the unusual Light, Laser & Music Show, and they enjoyed it for five days.
“The dramatic installation illuminated the night sky above the resort for five days and was one of the light spectacles that truly gave an additional charm to both the decoration and the biggest New Year tree. This New Year tree is one of four such trees in this part of Europe – it is 12 meters tall and decorated with special lights and decorations. This New Year tree is special because it was modeled after a real pine, so it fits into the environment naturally, which was very important to us when we were choosing a tree," said Adrijana Husić, the Director of Marketing and Communications at Portonovi.
Thanks to the handpicked decoration and program, at the beginning of festive activities, Portonovi already has millions of views on social networks, and at the same time, there is a growing interest to stay both in Portonovi and in Herceg Novi in December.
"We are particularly pleased with the large number of people who visited us the previous weekend, and people were looking for additional parking space for the concert of the Perper band, which symbolically opened the Festive Market. This confirms that towns on the coast can be a destination that people choose even after the summer months. We really tried to give them more reasons so that this holiday season all the guests have a complete atmosphere and everything they need for a nice celebration," Husić pointed out and added that all programs are for free.
From the beginning of December until January 8th, 2023, guests can expect a diverse program suitable for all generations and for everyone’s tastes.
Numerous events, a festive market with the best offer of delicacies, and creative workshops for the youngest will set up an idyllic atmosphere, perfect for spending time with your loved ones. In the coming period, there will be concerts of regional stars (Klapa Šufit on December 23rd, Amira Medunjanin on January 5th, and Petar Grašo on January 7th), local bands and DJs, and after the program, the fun will continue in our bars, where you can enjoy the specialties of various international cuisines, aromas from different parts of the world, exotic cocktails, champagne, and good music.
