Entertainment in Portonovi Squares and Streets in August

During July, Portonovi showed it is the address for the best events this summer. Over 170 thousand visitors (30% more than in the same period last year) enjoyed ABBA tribute band with symphony orchestra, Nina Badrić, Jelena Tomašević, Ivan Bosiljčić, Detour Band, Local Music Đenović and many others in Portonovi squares. In August, more concerts free for all visitors are waiting for you.

In addition to concerts, Portonovi hosted numerous artists and was a venue for sports events for kids and adults.

On Saturday, August 5, Queen Symphony Sensation, a tribute band of the popular rock group Queen, will perform in Marina Square, accompanied by a symphony orchestra. The program in the square starts at 8 PM when DJ Lucky Dee will warm up the audience.

On August 9, Marina Square is reserved for Barcelona Gipsy BalKan Orchestra (BGKO). BGKO is an international ensemble of musicians based in Barcelona that has become famous for its interpretations of traditional music from the Balkans, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. The unique sound that delighted audiences around the world is created by the different artistic influences of its members: Margherita Abita (voice, Italy), Ivan Kovačević (contrabass, Serbia), Julien Chanal (guitar, France), Oleksandr Sora (violin, Ukraine), Fernando Salinas (accordion, Spain), Xavi Pendón (clarinet, Spain) and Albert Enkaminanko (percussion, Spain). Before them, DJ Marko Milošević (MKDSL) will perform in Marina Square from 8:00 PM.

On Friday, August 11, a fun evening is planned for the whole family. From 7 PM, various animators will perform in Marina Square - on stilts, unicycles, and others, and the band Crveno i crno will be in charge of musical accompaniment.

The Montenegro Essence concert will be organized on August 18 in Vista Square in Portonovi from 8:00 PM. It is a combination of various musical genres through the dialogue of an unusual composition of musical ensemble instruments. This concert by the guitar duo Nikčević and Bulatović will be accompanied by an orchestra composed of strings, brass, harmonica, bass guitar, and percussion instruments. The power of this ensemble offers a wide range of sounds - from subtle romantic melodies to unusual thundering irregular Balkan rhythms.

After shooting the music video for the song "Miris Jadrana," young artist Petar Wagner (Fantom) returns to Portonovi on Saturday, August 19, where he will hold a concert in Village Square. Fantom is a performer, author, and producer who became known in the region for the retro ballad "Barbara" and specific, stylish arrangements of ex-Yu pop-rock songs. His concerts are energetic and dynamic, and members of younger and older generations can be found in the audience in halls across the region. Fantom is currently working on the preparation of a new album, and the first single is a song called "Miris Jadrana," about nostalgic memories of summers spent in the Mediterranean.

In addition to concerts, many events for the youngest are organized in Portonovi this summer. On August 3, in Marina Square, the event "Montenegrin Road to Paris: Celebration of the Olympic Spirit" will promote the 2024 Olympic Games. The goal is to use fun and games to present the road to Paris, the history of our athletes at the Games, and promote Olympic values and lifestyle.

Also, the fourth Portonovi Kids' Games will be organized on August 20, with multi-purpose training grounds and games for children aged 4 to 12. After that, on August 26, there will be another event in cooperation with the Montenegrin Olympic Committee.
