Comedy “Forever Hold Your Peace,” Whose First Scenes Were Filmed in Portonovi, Available in Movie Theaters Starting February

The lively Montenegrin comedy “Forever Hold Your Peace” will be available in movie theaters starting the first week of February, and for that occasion, the first movie trailer was released. 

A wedding, tradition, conflict between old and new, but also the beautiful surroundings of Portonovi (where the first scene was filmed), Herceg Novi, and Montenegrin coast, are a framework of this touching and explosive comedy with famous actors and actresses from Montenegro and the region - Tihana Lazović, Goran Slavić, Momo Pićurić, Mirjana Joković, Goran Bogdan, Dragana Dabović, Snježana Sinovčić Šiškov, Dejan Đonović, Miloš Pejović, Sejdo Alijaj, and others.

The comedy follows a young couple before and during a wedding ceremony. With a dynamic and complicated relationship between the bride, who suddenly changes her mind about marrying the groom, whose father is forcing him to go through with the wedding - the wedding is transformed into a farce with a series of unexpected twists. The exciting situation is spiced with drinks and dynamite, just like the tradition prescribes.

Prepremiere of “Forever Hold Your Peace” movie is scheduled for January 30 in Herceg Novi, and it will be officially available in movie theaters in Montenegro, with the premiere in Podgorica on January 31, while the premiere in Belgrade is scheduled for February 6. The movie had the world premiere at the Main Competition Program of the International Black Nights Festival in Tallinn.

The movie was written and directed by Ivan Marinović, known for his debut work “The Black Pin” – the film that was the Montenegrin candidate for Oscar in 2016 and screened at more than 50 international film festivals.

“Forever Hold Your Peace” is a co-production of six countries – the partners are Adriatic Western from Montenegro, Sense Production from Serbia, Analog Vision from the Czech Republic, Kinorama from Croatia, Krug Film from North Macedonia, and Spok Film from Slovenia.

The movie was supported by the Film Centre of Montenegro, Radio and Television of Montenegro was its coproducer, and Portonovi Resort was its general sponsor, whereas the co-financiers were the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Herceg Novi Tourism Organization, Film Center Serbia, the Czech Film Fund, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Northern Macedonia Film Agency, Slovenian Film Center, Eurimages, Creative Europe MEDIA and See Cinema Network.
