Boris Ćalić: Montenegro As Inspiration

One&Only Portonovi is celebrating the art of traveling by launching the exclusive Depth over Distance collection, a limited-edition wardrobe for women created by the celebrated Montenegrin fashion designer Boris Ćalić. Created under the influence of natural beauty and rich local culture, this collection celebrates the modern woman who strives for creativity, in a simple way.

The new collection is a synonym for supreme elegance and simplicity, made for girls and women who like simple, business, but primarily subtle combinations. In the increasingly fast rhythm of daily work that occupies us, in the abundance of exaggeration, this collection represents a real fashion refreshment that contains pieces both for staying in exotic places and the urban environment.

"The collection is entirely made of completely natural and extremely pleasant and light materials, which match the ambiance of the One&Only Portonovi Resort in style, as an example of discreet and unobtrusive luxury that puts elegance, harmony with nature, and comfort in the focus of the attention. The One&Only Resort, as an elegant luxury and chic of the new age, has managed to simultaneously perpetuate the secrets of nature, which has also found expression in this fashion collection through the harmony of design, colors, and materials," said Ćalić.

The One&Only Resort, as a combination of superior engineering and design in inextricable unity with the natural environment, promotes a fashion collection that has captured the gentle power of the sea, the freshness of the air, the peaks of the mountains, and a touch of the mistral, which come together through the creative expression of the soul, in pieces of clothing of discreet elegance.

One&Only Portonovi is located in Herceg Novi - at the entrance to the magnificent Bay of Kotor, a sheltered idyll on the Montenegrin Adriatic Coast - surrounded by spectacular mountains and the blue Adriatic. Close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kotor, Portonovi was designed on an impressive scale to reflect the architectural style of the region's old Venetian palaces, including grand facades, majestic colonnades, red terracotta roofs, lush gardens, and a golden sandy beach that rivals the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

Therefore, the design of Boris Ćalić's collection was inspired by the luxurious resort and the natural and cultural charms of the location - celebrating Montenegro as a wonderful country of diversity.

"One&Only Portonovi recognizes and welcomes the fashion expression of its location," said Tessa Gorman, General Manager of the resort. "The collaboration with the Montenegrin artist and fashion designer Boris Ćalić is very significant to us and represents another one in a series of successful collaborations that the resort has established with designers such as Milena Đurđić and Marija Tarlać."
