One&Only Portonovi is located in Herceg Novi - at the entrance to the magnificent Bay of Kotor, a sheltered idyll on the Montenegrin Adriatic Coast - surrounded by spectacular mountains and the blue Adriatic. Close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kotor, Portonovi was designed on an impressive scale to reflect the architectural style of the region's old Venetian palaces, including grand facades, majestic colonnades, red terracotta roofs, lush gardens, and a golden sandy beach that rivals the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

Therefore, the design of Boris Ćalić's collection was inspired by the luxurious resort and the natural and cultural charms of the location - celebrating Montenegro as a wonderful country of diversity.

"The collaboration with the Montenegrin artist and fashion designer Boris Ćalić is very significant to us and represents another one in a series of successful collaborations that the resort has established with designers such as Milena Đurđić and Marija Tarlać."

Boris Ćalić was born in Podgorica in 1987. This talented designer studied at the London College of Fashion, where he received his MA in 2013. In 2010, at the Belgrade Fashion Week, he presented his first independent spring-summer collection, which was a great commercial success, and he won the award for the best collection. Soon after that, he founded his brand BORIS. and made an autumn-winter collection, which was also presented at the Belgrade Fashion Week. He puts the timeless simplicity of form into modern frames, creating clothes for the urban girl who can recognize good design. He won the award for the best Montenegrin fashion designer in 2011. He also worked for Roksanda Ilinčić in London. In 2014, he presented his master's collection at the Month of Design in Ljubljana, where he won the award for being the best creator of Southeast Europe. He designed uniforms for the national airline. At the international fashion show in Kotor in 2017, he drew attention to the preservation of Dobrota lace, a protected intangible cultural asset. He is a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Science, and he is working on a doctoral thesis on the topic of folk costumes in Montenegro at the Faculty of Arts. He currently works as a teaching associate at the Faculty of Design and Multimedia at the University of Donja Gorica.
