Another Successful Season for Portonovi Marina

Portonovi Marina concludes another remarkably successful year, reaffirming its position as one of the leading yachting centers on the Adriatic and an essential destination for yacht owners and sailors from around the world. Thanks to its perfect blend of cutting-edge infrastructure, luxury facilities, and impeccable service, Portonovi has become a marina that thrives year-round. Still, the summer months, when the highest number of superyacht arrivals is recorded, once again brought an impressive lineup of some of the most prestigious vessels on the global circuit.

As Montenegro continues to strengthen its position as a competitive maritime hub, supported by favorable taxation policies and tax-free fuel that make operations more cost-efficient, each year sees a growing number of superyachts arriving along its coast. Portonovi Marina stands at the very heart of this development. Its modern infrastructure, deep-water berths, and comprehensive service offering have made it a preferred base for yacht owners, captains, and guests who value comfort, privacy, and world-class service.

This year, Portonovi Marina had the privilege of welcoming several remarkable vessels, including some of the largest and most recognizable superyachts in the world. Among them was the 149.7-metre MY Opera, a true floating palace and one of the largest private yachts ever built; the elegant 110-metre PS Emerald Azzurra, a luxury passenger ship constructed for Emerald Cruises at the Ha Long shipyard; and the 90.56-metre PS Sea Dream I, which brought a touch of timeless ocean elegance. The striking 88.5-metre MY Olivia O, designed by Espen Øino and built by Norway’s Ulstein Verft, drew attention with its innovative X-Bow hull and impressive expedition capabilities.

Equally noteworthy were the 82.48-metre MY Sea Pearl, featuring its own cinema and beach club, the futuristic MY Excellence (79.95 m), the refined MY Nympheas (78.98 m), and the imposing MY Atlas (74 m) - all reflecting the diversity of vessels that choose Portonovi as their Adriatic home port.

“We are immensely pleased with the overall results of Portonovi Marina this year, as well as the continuous growth and global recognition we have been witnessing, not only through an increased number of superyacht visits but also through new accreditations. We are very excited about the upcoming year, with several fantastic arrivals already in the pipeline,” said Novica Radojičić, Marina Manager.

In addition to superyachts, the marina, now officially registered as an international port, has expanded its capabilities to accommodate passenger vessels as well. This milestone further strengthens Portonovi’s position as a leading nautical destination and contributes to the continued growth of maritime tourism in both Herceg Novi and Montenegro as a whole.

With 238 berths, full customs and immigration services, and a lively village offering fine dining, boutique shopping, and wellness experiences, Portonovi Marina continues to set the standard for excellence on the Adriatic. Each new season brings not only more arrivals but also renewed confirmation that Montenegro has truly become a yachting destination in its own right.
