Housekeeping Team Leader

Name of the position: Housekeeping Attendant  

Organization unit: Housekeeping Department 

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager

Job description: 

  • Perform general cleaning duties effectively.
  • Monitors the quality of   Housekeeping Attendants work on a daily basis.
  • To ensure the maximization of staff performance through the establishment of the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure that all HKD team members report for duty in a timely manner and are issued with the relevant tools of the trade to carry out daily tasks.
  • Helps in preparation of staff rosters and leave schedule to ensure adequate coverage in all housekeeping areas according to occupancy of the Resort.
  • Ensures the appropriate behavior and appearance of housekeeping team and that uniforms are in good condition.
  • Identify training needs of Housekeeping Attendants.
  • Ensure the linen stock is adequately managed, as well as general condition of the linen is maintained at a 5-star standard.
  • Analyses inventory of equipment and operating supplies and explains any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Ensures that maintenance issues and any guest complaints are reported to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Control housekeeping procedures that provide for the health and safety of personnel and guests, such as lost and found service, key control, security and emergency procedures.
  • Performs other tasks at the request of the Housekeeping Manager.

Education: IV or higher education degree

Probation period of 3 months is determined for this position

Work experience:

  • Experience in management supervision as a housekeeping supervisor/team leader is desirable
  • At least 1 year experience in hospitality

Preferred competencies:

  • Fluent in English language (spoken and written);
  • Applicant should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to customer service
