Montenegro Essence concert represents a combination of different musical genres through the dialogue of an unusual composition of musical ensemble instruments, creating an exciting visual and sound pleasure for the listener. This concert by the guitar duo Nikčević Bulatović will have an orchestra accompaniment consisting of string, brass, harmonica, bass guitar, and percussion instruments.
Sharing the common thread of Montenegrin traditional music, relying on improvisational Middle Eastern modes, flamenco, and Balkan rhythms, longing Slavic melodies, and connected by the atmosphere and mysticism of the Mediterranean. The power of the ensemble consisting of a string quintet, flute, ethno-wind instruments, percussion, bass, and classical guitars, offers a wide sound range from subtle romantic melodies to unusual thundering irregular Balkan rhythms. The works were originally written by Montenegrin guitarists and composers Bulatović and Nikčević, but for this concert, they were orchestrated and adapted for a larger ensemble. They were recorded and released for Naxos Records, one of the biggest classical music publishers in the world. They are also represented on various compilations and playlists on the music platform Apple Music Classical.
